Patriots head coach Bill Belichick reportedly refused to pose fully nude for ESPN The Magazine’s annual “Body” edition, claiming that removing his signature hoodie would be “inauthentic, unartistic, and unacceptable.”
“[The hooded shirt with no sleeves and sweat stains] is part of who I am,” Belichick said. “If you want my raw essence caught in a photo, you’re getting the hoodie. It’s a package deal.”
“More than happy to show my dong and whatever, though,” Belichick added.
According to ESPN photographers, Belichick arrived to the photoshoot session lacking pants, sporting only his famed hooded sweatshirt and a pair of boxer shorts, which he seemed anxious to remove.
“I obliged when they asked me to slam my radio headset onto the ground to capture my kinetic spirit,” said Belichick. “But there are some things for the camera I just can’t do. I’m just not that kind of guy.”
