Former Dodger and Met catcher Mike Piazza was inducted into the Hall of Fame, delivering his entire acceptance speech in sign language between his legs.

The consummate catcher, Piazza used hand signals buried in his crotch area to communicate gratitude to Hall voters for honoring his achievements and thanks to his teammates and fans for all the great times.

“I played this game for one reason: the fans,” Piazza said, according to a catcher-sign-language interpreter. “Slider outside.”

The speech earned a standing ovation from Johnny Bench and Carlton Fisk, who are the only attendees who understood it.
