Looking to better connect with the spirit of Boston, injured Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval participated in a Boston Legal marathon on Monday, completing the first six episodes of the critically acclaimed ABC drama in a respectable four hours and seventeen minutes.

“One of the main reasons I came to Boston was to be a part of the city’s proud traditions,” Sandoval explained from his couch. “Chief among those traditions, to my understanding, is to test one’s resolve on Patriots’ Day by watching hours upon hours of James Spader’s stirring performance as Alan Shore, a lawyer who’ll do it whatever it takes to obtain justice.”

Sandoval maintained a steady pace for much of the marathon, pausing only during a particularly tender scene between on-screen lovers Shore and Tara Wilson to yell at the Boston Marathon crowds outside his apartment to “keep it down.”

We can't play sports*, but we can make jokes about them!
