It will be sister vs. sister in tonight’s marquee U.S. Open matchup, and oddsmakers are—once again—going out on a limb and picking the stronger, faster, younger sister. Serena Williams, winner of the past four Grand Slams and No. 1 player in the world, will take on her sister, Venus, who seems very nice.

Last round, Venus looked sharp in beating Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic. This round, Venus will take on an opponent that is much like herself, except almost definitely better. The matchup is tight: both sisters have an incredibly fast serve (although Serena’s is consistently faster). Both are quick to the ball (although Serena is quicker). And both love to come back strong in the third set (although Serena has done that a lot more this year). Let’s hope for a great match!

We’re going to put down $100,000 on Venus, because here at the Kicker, we like to spit in the face of fate! Go Venus!

We can't play sports*, but we can make jokes about them!
