Hey hey baseball enthusiasts,

If you’re a ballplayer, and you wanna bring your son to the clubhouse with you every day? Bring him on!

We can learn a lot from the younger generation. They know how to just be, ya know?

In the Cubs locker room, we’ve only got one rule: “rock ‘n roll, mah man.”

If you’re a pitcher and you’ve always wanted to play shortstop, rock ‘n roll.

If you think the fans would dig some tie-dye uniforms, then bring on the rubber bands and multi-colored dyes, fella. Rock ‘n muthajumpin’ roll.

LOS ANGELES, CA - AUGUST 30: Manager Joe Maddon (R) and pitcher Hector Rondon #56 of the Chicago Cubs pose for a photo as they wear pajamas as part of a team theme trip on their way out of town after the game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on August 30, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. Don’t think of it as Wrigley Field. Think of it as Wrigley Sanctuary, a safe haven from the bustle of life. Put your feet up and take in the music of the sweet, sweet crack of the bat.

Oh and speaking of music, me, Arrieta, Dexter, and Baez started a pretty chill folk music group. We’ll be performing at Sluggers after every home game. Feel free to come by, mah friends.

Signing off,

Joe “If It Looks Hot, Wear It” Maddon
