A fantasy football draft has helped a man rediscover the popular web destination Yahoo. Chris Troxell, 25, said he was blown away when he was invited to a fantasy league and had to sign in to Yahoo for the first time in over ten years.

“It was trippy,” said Troxell. “I thought Yahoo wasn’t around any more, but they’re still chugging along. Good for them.”

Troxell went on. “I mean, I remember Yahoo from 2002 or 2003. It’s like traveling in a time machine. Every time I see the logo, I think of the song “This Is How You Remind Me” by Nickelback.”

Troxell said thousands of people must go to Yahoo for news and things like “Yahoo shopping”, but he doesn’t know any of them. “I’m not sure who uses it,” Troxell wondered. “I guess I know a few people with a Yahoo email address, but they’re mostly my mom’s friends.”

Yahoo was the top site on the web for searching web content from 1998 to 2000. When this was pointed out to Troxell, he laughed for over a minute.

We can't play sports*, but we can make jokes about them!
