Following their unexpected loss to South Carolina in the second round of the NCAA tournament, the Duke Blue Devils were seen trying to sneak into the NIT. According to a team source, they “just wanted to win something.”
“We have so much talent. It’s not fair. It’s just not fair,” said junior star Grayson Allen, while punching stranger’s car windows like he was in a scene from the Karate Kid.
Duke’s loss was a bittersweet moment for many fans because over 70% of brackets had Duke advancing to the Final Four, but oddly enough, 60% of all brackets also had Duke winning the NIT tournament somehow.
The NIT has already begun, but the Blue Devils should have no problem sneaking in due to the fact that the NIT has no governing body, or rules of any kind.
