Upon learning that Kevin Durant would be joining the Warriors, Draymond Green invited his new teammate to engage in Golden State’s most important offseason tradition: going to Steven Adams’ house to kick him in the balls.
“Honestly, I thought he was kidding at first,” Durant said after kicking his former teammate square in his New Zealand balls. “But no, apparently Dray does this once a week until the season starts, and then twice a week during the season.”
“I gotta admit, it’s way more fun than I thought it would be,” Durant added.
Warriors owner Joe Lacob gave Durant and Green the use of his private plane, so the pair could time their visit out to kick Adams in the balls just at the moment when he learned the Thunder’s best player was leaving.
“Why do I keep answering the door, when I can clearly see Green through the peephole, smirking?” Adams asked sadly. “But at this point, all the nerve-endings are gone down there, so I may as well get it over with.”
