After the UFC-200 pre-fight press conference turned into a free-for-all of objects being thrown and insults being spewed, Dana White demanded Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz immediately begin seeing a relationship counselor.
“It’s easy to forget how much you love someone when you’re contractually required to beat them into submission,” said White. “Those guys just need to get out of their heads, and maybe, into their hearts.”
Patricia Chapman, the UFC’s in-house relationship counselor seemed confident she could get McGregor and Diaz back on the right track.
“The line between fighting and loving is paper-thin,” said Chapman. “My job is to remove that paper, so that they can fight and love at the same time. Ideally, while in an octagon, while televised on a pay-per-view channel.”
