Golden State star Steph Curry will not play in tonight’s Game 7 because today is Father’s Day and that’s “his day.”
The Warriors guard and reigning two-time MVP confirmed the decision Sunday morning, saying the holiday is about fathers getting a day off from work so they can do whatever they want.
“I’m just gonna kick back with Ayesha and the kids, maybe watch a movie or something,” Curry said. “I just want a low-key evening, nothing special.”
Curry’s move is the most surprising elective DNP since earlier this year when Kobe Bryant declined to play on Senior Citizen’s Day.
