With the starting quarterback question heating up in Dallas after Dak Prescott’s fantastic start to the season, Tony Romo was spotted milling about the Cowboys’ facilities holding a sign that read “Tony 4 QB.”
“I’m running on the platform that: It was mine first,” said Romo, while marching up and down the hallways inside the practice facility. “I’ve still got so much to give this team. The doctors said I have other bones that have yet to be broken.”
“That boy’s gone plum crazy,” said Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. “I like his moxie, but I won’t be swayed by some junior high malarkey.”
According to a silent poll most Cowboys’ players had no idea the starting quarterback job was decided by a player vote.
